Manipur University, 16/05/2022: MOU between Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and Manipur University on 17/05/2022. MOU was signed on behalf of Manipur University by Prof. W. Chandbabu Singh, Registrar, Manipur University, in the presence of Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. N. Lokendra Singh, VC, Manipur University and witnessed by Prof. N. Mohilal Meitei, Head, Department of Zoology and Dr Rameshori Yumnam, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, Manipur University. The objective of MOU are as follows: i) to provide a framework for collaboration of research and extension activities, ii) The research may include the protection, sustainability and climate-resilient of fish and other aquatic resources of the NE Region. iii) The research may aim the local communities of Manipur to align with the goals and programmes of the Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate Change(MoEFCC), Govt of India. iv) To improve research capacities and knowledge management of the University for conducting inventories and surveys, analysing data, and establishing an M&E system on the impact of measures for sustainable, climate-resilient management of fish and invertebrates stocks. v) This MoU shall involve the establishment of an institutional mechanism including communication structures between the parties and the development of scientifically grounded action plans based on the analyses with concrete recommendations.

Manipur University, 20/12/2021:  The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak and Manipur University, Canchipur on 20/12/2021 in online mode. The purpose of MoU is to promote academic exchange between the two Parties through mutual assistance in the area of teaching and research. The general framework for academic cooperation of the MOU is to promote the following activities: 1. Two Annual Joint National Seminars on mutually agreed themes (one sponsored by MU and Another by IGNTU), 2. Manipur University signed a memorandum of understanding with Bangor University, UK for collaboration in research & exchange programs

A memorandum of understanding aimed to establish and develop a strategic collaborative relationship in order to promote academic and cultural exchange between Manipur University and Bangor University, Wales, the United Kingdom was signed recently. The MOU incorporates facilities for information exchange, exchange of Students and Staff, e-learning and distance learning technologies in addition to collaborative research.

Bangor University, formerly called the University College of North Wales is a public university established in the year 1884. The campus stretched in Bangor and  Wrexham. The university was made up of three Colleges housing fourteen academic Schools, as well as over fifty specialist research centres, enabling the provision of courses spanning the Arts, Humanities, and Sciences. In the academic year of 2021-2022, the university had a total student enrolment of more than 11000 including 6623 full-time undergraduates and 380 part-time undergraduates. In addition to that, there were 1045 full-time postgraduates and 719 part-time postgraduates. Some of its alumni included film director Danny Boyle, actress Frances Barber, renowned chemist Colin Eaborn, musician Bill Fay, writer Tony Gillam, producer Tim Haines, actor John Ogwen, poet R.S. Thomas and physician Herbert Wilson, who was known for his contribution to the DNA structure research.
