In pursuance of its Action Plan for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality upgradation of institutions of higher education, the National Assessment and Accreditation council (NAAC), Bangalore proposes that every accreditated institution should established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. Since quality enchancement is a continous process, the IQAC will become a part of the institution's system and work towards realisation of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, sonsistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institutions. For this, during the post accreditation period, it will channelize all efforts and measures of the institution towards promoting its holistic academic excellence.
IQAC, Manipur University was established on 22nd August 2009 with a committee of 11 members including 2 members are external examinars. Al present there are 13 members.
Form time to time, the accreditation of the University by NAAC, Bangalore, IQAC is take the responsibility of submit the necessary SSR, AQAR, NIRF and other documents. In addition IQAC helps the university authority at the time of CAS of the faculty members.
