To upgrade the department to an Advanced Study Centre.

Mission:

  • On successful completion of the M.A./M.Sc. Mathematics Program a student will have a strong foundation in core areas of Mathematics, both pure and applied.
  • To prepare and motivate students for research studies in mathematics and related fields.
  • To nurture problem solving skills, thinking, creativity through assignments, project work.
  • To effectively communicate and explore ideas of mathematics for propagation of knowledge and popularization of mathematics in society.
  • To apply critical thinking skills for the sustainable development in pure and applied Mathematics.
  • To communicate and develop Mathematical information orally and in writing.
  • To appraise and demonstrate professional and ethical responsibility with Universal brotherhood.
  • To develop and apply new theories of Mathematics to solve a broad variety of problems involving Mathematics.
  • To exhibit the capacity to identify, formulate, and solve problems pertaining to Mathematics through research.
  • To inculcate and develop mathematical aptitude and the ability to think abstractly in the student.
  • To train the students in analyzing scientific reasoning for various things and prepare them for higher studies.
  • To demonstrate and communicate Mathematical ideas in both orally and writing.
  • To apply the underlying unifying structures of Mathematics in both Pure and Applied Mathematics and the relationships among them with the applications in future research.
  • To investigate and apply Mathematical problems and solutions in interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary areas by using Mathematical tools and Techniques.
  • To encourage the students MATLAB/MATHEMATICA

Best Practices :
