The State Bank of India, Manipur University campus branch was opened on 6th August 1977. The Manipur University Branch has received patronisation from Manipur University since the inception of the Branch way back to the time the University was Post Graduate Center of the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Today, the bank has a customer base of approximately 50,000. The Branch has been taking up so many IT initiatives mainly Core Banking solution, ATM, 24x7 passbook printing services, a deposit of cash up to 49,900 with 24x7 facility, Queue Management System, Electronic cheque deposit system etc.
