One day Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme at Maram Khunou

The Department of Vocational Studies & Skill Development, Manipur University, in collaboration with the District Administration, Senapati, organized a one-day Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme at Maram Khunou  Senapati, a Village adopted by Manipur University on 27 August 2022. In this programme, Prof.Ch.Ibohal Meitei, Head, Department of Vocational Studies and Skill Development, Manipur University and Shri T.Shyamkumar Singh, SDO/BDO Tadubi and B.Kangba, Village Chief and P.Thomas, Chairman were the special Dignitaries and during this programme, the Faculty members of DVSSD, Manipur University also interacted on various aspects of Entrepreneurship Development related to the locally available resources along with more than 100 participants. As a part of the adoption activities of the village, the District Administration & the team from Manipur University have agreed to take up activities related to livelihood skill development, rainwater harvesting, career counselling, health camps, sanitation, waste management, financial literacy & women empowerment, etc. Ms Kaini B, Block Coordinator, Tadubi, also highlighted Manipur State Rural Livelihood Misson. Mr Mickey Pao, Junior Development Officer, RD & PR, Senapati, highlighted various resources available at the village. The District Administration has also assured to improve IVR  to Maram Khunou for better connectivity under various Govt Schemes. The villagers and the participants expressed their happiness & satisfaction with the joint works taken up by Manipur University & District Administration, Senapati together.
