Manipur University, 12 August 2025: The NSS Cell of Manipur University successfully organized the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Rally on 12 August 2025 at 11:00 a.m., as part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign. Conducted under the supervision of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports and the Ministry of Higher Education, Government of India, the rally commenced from the Vice-Chancellor Secretariat premises and concluded at the Manipur University Gate.
A total of 400 participants took part in the vibrant event, led by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Manipur University, along with the Dean of Student Welfare, Registrar, Finance Officer, MUTA President, MUSU President, University Engineer, esteemed faculty members, NSS Programme Officers, NSS volunteers, and students of Manipur University.
‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is an initiative under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, encouraging every citizen to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it proudly to honor India’s independence. The campaign aims to foster a personal connection between individuals and the national flag—transforming it from a purely formal symbol into a personal emblem of pride, patriotism, and responsibility. The Ministry of Culture serves as the nodal ministry for this initiative.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Laishram Santosh Singh, Programme Coordinator, NSS Cell, who expressed heartfelt appreciation to all participants for their valuable time, enthusiasm, and contribution towards making the rally a grand success.
