Manipur University, 9 August 2025 — The NSS Cell, Manipur University, successfully launched the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign on 9 August 2025 at the premises of the Department of Anthropology, Manipur University, Canchipur. The event celebrated patriotism and unity among students, scholars, and the local community.
The programme was chaired by Dr. L. Santosh Singh, Programme Coordinator, NSS Cell, with Dr. Kh. Herachandra Singh and Dr. H. Suraj Singh, NSS Programme Officers, Manipur University.
The campaign began with an insightful lecture by Dr. T. Deepamanjuri Devi, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, Manipur University, on “Origin and Development of the Indian National Flag”. The session traced the historical evolution of the flag and its significance in India’s freedom struggle and nation-building. The audience included NSS volunteers, M.Sc. students, research scholars, and school students.
Following the talk, a ‘Tiranga Rangoli Art Competition’ showcased creative designs inspired by the Indian National Flag, followed by a Quiz Competition on “The National Indian Flag”, highlighting the participants’ patriotic spirit and knowledge.
The day concluded with a Patriotic Rally, where participants proudly carried the national flag, marching together as a symbol of unity and respect for the nation.
In his closing remarks, Dr. L. Santosh Singh thanked the organizers, participants, NSS volunteers, and the media for their contributions, emphasizing the importance of upholding the values represented by the Tiranga.
