“Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan -Nashe Se Azadi” program were organised

Manipur University, 04/08/2022: NSS- Cell, Manipur University Canchipur, Imphal With Ministry Of Social Justice And Empowerment CELEBRATES “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” on 4th August 2022. The program was started with a Cycle Rally from Traffic Island near Maharaj Gambir Singh Statue Manipur University. The Program Flag off by Prof. N. Lokendra Singh, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Manipur University,Prof. M. Premjit Singh, Dean of Students’ Welfare, Manipur University, Prof. W. Chandbabu Singh Registrar, Manipur University from Ministry Of Social Justice And Empowerment representative Shivangi Garg & Nadeem, and Dr M. Nodiyachand Singh NSS-Cell Coordinator, Manipur University at 7:30 am .All dignitaries and NSS Program Officers, and Volunteers participated the Cycle Rally. There were three villages adopted by NSS Units of Manipur University. The first visited village was Thongju Part-II under the Jurisdiction of the SEVA club. There was a formal awareness programme presided by Sri Sunil Singh President SEVA Club and Dr. Maibam Nodiyachand Singh was the Chief Guest .The Second adopted Village visited was the Kiyamgei and the third was Langthabal .these last two villages also conducted Awareness program on “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan –Nashe Se Azade”. All volunteers and officials back to VC-Court Hall of MU .All participants and the University Authority lead by Prof. N. Lokendra Singh, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Manipur University listened the address by The Hon’ble Union Minister of Social Justice & Empowerment Dr. Virendra Kumar (Live Telecast) at 10:00 am to 11: 20 am. At 11:30 had lunch and started lecture program and the interaction started. At 12:30 a formal function of “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan -Nashe Se Azadi. In function, Prof. N. Lokendra Singh, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Manipur University, Prof. W. Chandbabu Singh Registrar, Manipur University, Dr. R.K Lenin Singh Prof. & Head Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology RIMS, Imphal and Dr. M. Nodiyachand Singh NSS-Cell Coordinator, Manipur University were the Chief Guest, Guest of Honours and President of the function.
