Manipur Univversity, 18th August 2025: The Manipur Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipur University, inaugurated the Student Induction Program (SIP) for the academic session 2025-26 today at the Academic Block, MIT Campus, Canchipur. The week-long program, organized by the Department of Basic Sciences & Humanities (BSH), MIT, will be held from 18th to 22nd August 2025 for the newly admitted students of B.E. 1st Semester.
The inaugural function began with a Welcome Address by the Principal, MIT, followed by an inspiring Motivational Speech by Mr. Chinglemba Ngathem, Founder of APromise International. The day’s proceedings also included technical sessions on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) delivered by Dr. Romesh Laishram, Nodal Officer (NSP), MIT, and an engaging session on Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) & Virtual Labs conducted by Dr. Rajeev Rajkumar, Assistant Professor and Nodal Coordinator for Virtual Labs, MIT.
Over the course of five days, the induction program will feature a wide range of activities, including lectures, motivational talks, competitions, workshops, and awareness sessions, designed to nurture students’ academic abilities, instill values, and support their holistic development.
The Student Induction Program provides a platform for new students to familiarize themselves with the campus environment, explore avenues for innovation and creativity, and lay the foundation for personal and professional growth.
The SIP-2025-26 will conclude on 22nd August 2025 with sessions on Soft Skills and a Social Service/Plantation Activity conducted by MIT faculty members.
