Imphal, September 30, 2026: On the occasion of the 130th Birth Anniversary of Jananeta Hijam Irabot, Dr. Thangjam Dhabali Singh, Chairman and Managing Director of the BABINA Group of Companies, donated 15 copies of his book, Microscope to Milestones: A Pathologist’s Journey Beyond the Lab, to Manipur University on Wednesday.
The books were formally handed over to Dr. Kshetrimayum Narayan Singh, President of the Manipur University Teachers’ Association (MUTA), for the benefit of students, teachers, researchers and the wider university community.
The contribution, made on a day commemorating the life and legacy of Jananeta Hijam Irabot, is aimed at promoting knowledge, reading culture and academic enrichment within the University.
Microscope to Milestones: A Pathologist’s Journey Beyond the Lab traces Dr. Dhabali Singh’s journey as a pathologist and his experiences beyond the confines of the laboratory. The donation provides members of the University community an opportunity to engage with his experiences and reflections through the book.
MUTA expressed its sincere appreciation to Dr. Thangjam Dhabali Singh for the generous contribution and for making copies of the book available to the University community.
The Association said such contributions help strengthen a culture of reading and knowledge-sharing on the campus and provide valuable resources for students, teachers and researchers.
