A state level "Business Plan Competition 2023"

Manipur University, 11/02/2023: A state level "Business Plan Competition 2023" was held on 11 February, 2023 at Manipur University organised by Incubation and Innovation Cell, Department of Vocational Studies & Skill Development, Manipur University. The first cash prize of Rs. 20,000/- was bagged by a team from Department of Management, Manipur Technical University comprised of Dr. Thiyam Vrubanata and Mr. Sarungbam Dinakanta Singh. The second cash prize of Rs. 15,000/- goes to Mr. Milton Loitongbam from Department of Vocational Studies & Skill Development, Manipur University, and the third cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- goes to a team from Manipur University comprise of Mr. Md. Julfiker, Miss Oinam Sushmita Devi & Ningsingleima Oinam. Three consolation prizes were also announced. There were 15 teams participated for the competition from different Institutons in Manipur. Mr. Priyobratta Gurumayum, Regional Head NEDFI Imphal, Mr. Roshnikumar Yambem, Manging Director, Globizs Web Solution Pvt. Ltd., and Dr. Thangzamang Lhouvum, Asst. Prof. MIMS, Manipur University were the jury members of the Business Plan Competition 2023.
Considering the innovativeness and attractiveness of the business plan, Mr. Raj Moirangthem, Proprietor, Imphal Archery House has also sponsored the special seed funds of Rs. One Lakh to Yumbi Production for Crispy Thambou. The programme was attended by various students from different colleges and academic institutions of the state. Further, Prof. Ch. Ibohal Meitei, Head of the Department, Department of Vocational Studies and Skill Development and Member Secretary Incubation and Innovation Cell, Manipur University stated that the first three wining teams of the Business Plan Competition shall be provided hand holding support and incubation services for the next three years in the IIC,DVSSD, Manipur University. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Kangjam Mukhara Devi, Faculty Member, DVSSD, Manipur University.
