  • Commanded 27 RAJPUT during OP VIJAY (KARGIL) in Chalunka – Turtok Sector in J&K and in Siachen Glacier 1998 – 2000. Awarded Yudh Seva Medal.
  • General Officer Commanding of an Infantry Division in the Line of Control in J&K (Poonch – Rajouri Sector). Awarded AtiVishisht Seva Medal.
  • Corps Commander in J&K. Conduct of Counter – Insurgency campaign of the Corps which comprised two Infantry Divisions and three Rashtriya Rifles Force HQs. Was Ex-Officio Security Advisor to the Govt of J&K during 2014-2015. Awarded Uttam Yudh Seva Medal.
