Weekly Highlights from the Scholars’ Desk 8 January 2020

Nandini Kumam,
Ph.D  Scholar
Supervisor: Prof. S.K. Srivastava
Co-Supervisor: Prof. N. Rajmuhon Singh
Department of Chemistry, Manipur University.

Title of Thesis : “Preparation, Characterisation and Luminescence properties of SrF2, BaF2 and YPO4 nanomaterials”.
Highlights:
Preparation of Eu3+ ions doped BaF2 nanoparticles using polyol method and studies its photoluminescence properties after annealing at 900oC.
The nanocomposite also shows luminescence in red region, indicating that the BaF2:3Eu/Fe3O4 nanocomposite can be used for bio-imaging purpose for in vivo and in vitro studies.
