Webinar on “How to Read Scientific Literature & Introduction to MANAV-The Human Atlas Initiative” Held on 06-02-2021

Manipur University, 06/02/2021: The Department of Zoology and Botany, Manipur University (MU) & Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune, jointly organized a webinar on 6th Feb 2021. The webinar was attended by 245 participants from different Institutes across the country. Dr. Anupama Harshal W. from IISER, Pune was the invited speaker for the session & the theme was “How to Read Scientific Literature & Introduction to MANAV-The Human Atlas Initiative”. The session started with a welcome speech by Prof. N. Mohilal Meitei, Head, Dept. of Zoology, M.U. The session was then taken over by Dr. Anupama. In her lecture, she presented a brief perspective on how to access research articles and highlighted how to read scientific literature. She also highlighted the importance of annotation. Dr. Anupama also elaborated on the importance of reading a correct research article. She also discussed MANAV- the Human Atlas Initiative, which is a project funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India in collaboration with Persistent System, NCCS, and IISER, Pune.

After the session, there was an online test of English Proficiency and a session-based Questionnaire test taken up by the participants. Participants who registered, attended, and took the tests were entitled to receive E-certificates.
