Observance of National Library Day

Manipur University observed the National Library Day on 12th August 2021. Prof. N Lokendra Singh (Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Manipur University), Prof. C.R. Karisiddappa (Former UGC-Emeritus Fellow, Karnataka University), and Shri K. Chaoba Singh (President, MALA, Imphal) have graced the inaugural function as Chief Guest, Special Guest, and President respectively. Dr. Ch. Ibohal Singh (HoD, Library and Information Science, Manipur University, Canchipur) act as the convenor, and the Inaugural Programme was Compared by Ningombam Iroshini (JRF, Department of Library and Information Science, MU). The Observance of National Library Day was conducted in online mode.

During the Inaugural function, Prof. N Lokendra Singh (Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Manipur University) release the Draft Issue of Librarygee Eehou: MALA International Journal of Library Movement. And Result of the National Level Online Essay Competition on Reading Habit during the Covid-19 pandemic was also declared.
