Manipur University Hosts 10th Occasional Sociological Lecture: Prof. M. Amarjeet Singh Explores Autonomy and Development

Manipur University, 5/4/2024: The Department of Sociology at Manipur University has been organizing a series of public lectures by eminent individuals on sociologically relevant themes, known as the 'Occasional Sociological Lecture' series. As part of this series, Professor M. Amarjeet Singh, from the Centre for North East Studies & Policy Research at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, delivered a lecture on "Autonomy and Development" on Friday, 5 April 2024. During his presentation, the speaker explored the relationship between autonomy and development, shedding light on various instances of its utilization and misuse.

Dr. Yumlembam Khogen, the Program Coordinator, introduced the speaker and extended a vote of thanks. Approximately 70 post-graduate students, research scholars, and faculty members of the university actively participated in the lecture.
