Home Department Notice Head, Department of Psychology Course Offered Students Faculty Members

The Department of Psychology, establishe in the Year 2019, is a very new addition to the existing P.G. Departments of Manipur University. This Department is under the School of Human and Environmental Sciences of the University. Currently the Department offers PG Programme (M.A. / M.Sc. Psychology) of two having four semesters. The course is based on choice based credit system (CBCS). At present intake capacity of the course is 70 students.

From 2022, the Department will start PhD. (Research) program.

Diploma Program on various Specialized Fields of Psychology, the Bachelor Program and Certificate Courses of short durations, for which roadmap is ready.

More importantly, Department is planning to establish “Counselling Cell” to address Mental Health issues of University community in general and students in particular. 

OBJECTIVE

The Department has a clear and unambiguous objective of imparting quality education and equip students with latest trends of the discipline, so that they could render necessary social services professionally to the society for the development of communities, welfare of the society, and well-being of humanity.
