Manipur University, 25th August 2025: A three-day cascading training under the Capacity Building Commission’s Rashtriya Karmayogi–Large Scale Jan Seva Programme (RK-LSJSP) began today at the Court Hall, Manipur University (MU). The programme, scheduled from 25th to 27th August 2025, aims to bring behavioural and transformative change among university officials, creating a positive impact on governance.
Delivering the inaugural address, Prof. N. Lokendra Singh, Vice-Chancellor, MU, emphasized the programme’s role in nation building, highlighting the importance of upskilling Central Government employees, nurturing the spirit of Seva Bhaav, and fostering purpose-driven, transformative changes in daily work culture.
In his welcome address, Toijam Punsiba, Nodal Officer, iGOT Karmayogi, MU, stressed the significance of collective effort among employees in ensuring smooth service delivery and strengthening governance within the university.
The training is being facilitated by Certified Master Trainers – Anisul Alam, Assistant Registrar (Senior Scale), Faculty and Irengbam Tilokchan, Programmer, who previously received training from Lead Trainers under RK-LSJSP. They will now train university officials, ensuring service-oriented and citizen-centric governance.
The three-day cascading training will be conducted in batches of 30-35 officials, with about 500 employees of Manipur University expected to benefit from the initiative.
The Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Programme is a large-scale behavioural training programme implemented by the Capacity Building Commission for Central Government employees. It seeks to instil a spirit of public service, a sense of purpose, and satisfaction in everyday work.
