One Day National Level Workshop on "Implementation of N.E.P - 2020: Way Forward" with reference to Employability, Vocational Studies and Skill Development was Organised by Centre for Entrepreneurship an Skill Development, Manipur University, Imphal(India). The inaugural function of the the One Day National Level Workshop on "Implementation of N.E.P - 2020: Way Forward" with reference to Employability, Vocational Studies and Skill Development was held today (the 19th January, 2022) at 10:30 AM in the Court Hall, Manipur University.
Prof. K.R.S. Sambasiva Rao, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, Mizoram University, Prof. N. Lokndra Singh, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, Manipur University, Sri. M. Harekrishna Singh, IAS, Commissioner, University & Higher Education, Govt. of Manipur, Dr. Kiran Hazarika, Member, Univeristy Grants Commission, New Delhi and Prof. Ch. Ibohal Meitei, Director, Cenre for Entrepreneurship and Skill Development, Manipur University have graced the function as Chief Guest, President, Guest of Honour and key-note speaker respectively.
In the Keynote Speaker of Prof Ch. Ibohal Meitei, Professor of Management & Director, CESD, Manipur University, express that Education and learning is a continuous process, continuous improvement and training is very much needed. He also express Educational innovation with more variety in knowledge and skills should be harnessed and at the same time, attitude and behavior of the students should be taken into account while imparting education for holistic development of the learners.
The National Level Workshop comprised of two technical sessions. After the Inaugural function, the technical session of the Workshop was continued. The first Technical session was chaired by Prof. K. R. S. Sambasiva Rao, Hon’ble Vice-chancellor, Mizoram University, Aizawl, Mizoram. The theme of the First technical session was "Implementation of NEP 2020 in Higher Education". The resource persons of the first technical session were Dr. Kiran Hazarika, Member, University Grants Commission, New Delhi, Dr. Rangitabali Waikhom, IAS, Director, University and Higher Education, Govt. of Manipur and Prof. K. Yugindro Singh, Dean, School of Physical & Mathematical Sciences, Manipur University.
The Second Technical session was chaired by Prof. N. Rajmuhon Singh, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Dhanamanjuri University, Imphal. The theme of the technical session-2 was on "Employability, Vocational Education and Skill Development through NEP 2020". The Resource Persons of the second technical session were Mr. Atul Kulkarni, Member, Board of Management, IIM, Shillong, Prof. W. Chandbabu Singh, Registrar, Manipur University, Dr. Raheijuddin Sheikh, Principal, Lilong Haoreibi College and Mr. L. Niranjan Singh, Managing Director, JCRE Skill Solutions Pvt. Ltd, Imphal.
