Dr K B Mangang was awarded A.Narasingha Rao Award, 2014 , a national award, awarded by IMS in recognition of my works: i) The orbital limit of a sequence of equicontinuous maps is equicontinuous. ii) The orbital limit of a sequence of orbitally convergent minimal systems is minimal. iii) Construction of a sequence of orbitally convergent equicontinuous systems.

Doctoral Research:
Dr K B Mangang got his PhD. Degree from the Department of Mathematics, University of Delhi in 2009. Before that he got MSc. and Mphil. degrees in Mathematics from the same University. Title of his PhD thesis is “Linear and Non-Linear Stability of Equilibrium Points in the Robe’s Restricted Three-Body Problem”, an area which still attracts many Mathematicians and Scientists to solve the mystery of the Universe.
Doctoral Research Findings:
The main finding of his PhD research is that the Earth’s Core is stable under perturbed conditions.
Post Doctoral Research:
Dr K B Mangang’s post doctoral research field is Topological Dynamics or discrete Dynamical systems. Both Topological Dynamics and Celestial Mechanics can be clubbed together and called as Dynamical Systems.
Post Doctoral Research Findings:
The main findings are: i) Extension of various notions of dynamical systems to a system when the phase space is a uniform space or a Hausdorff topological space, (ii) Investigation and finding various results of the various dynamical notions of the uniform and orbital limit dynamical systems, and (iii) Extensions of the various notions of dynamical systems to Product dynamical systems and disjoint sum dynamical systems. Rigorous mathematical proofs of the results are given, and examples are constructed to support the various results.

UGC Minor Research Project Rs. 1.4 Lac
“Study of KAM Theory and its Applications” Feb 2010 to Feb 2012.
The finding of the project is that KAM theory can be applied effectively in finding the non-linear stability of equilibrium points in Robe’s restricted three body problem in particular and restricted three body problem in general.
UGC Major Research Project,
“Sensitivity and local aspect of topological mixing of the limit function of a sequence of functions” July 2015 to June 2018.
The findings of the project are: i) The orbital limit of a sequence of orbitally convergent and topologically mixing functions is topologically mixing. ii) The orbital limit of a sequence of orbitally convergent and topologically weak mixing functions is weak mixing.
