ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

The National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) envisages a paradigm shift in Higher Education by emphasizing research, innovation, multidisciplinary learning, and global academic engagement. It underscores the need for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to evolve into centres of research excellence supported by well-trained faculty members and competent research scholars. In this academic landscape, capacity building in advanced research methodology and scholarly publication has become essential for ensuring research quality, credibility, and impact. Despite increasing emphasis on research output for academic progression, accreditation and institutional ranking, many faculty members and research scholars face challenges related to research design, data analysis, ethical compliance, and publication in reputed Journals. Limited exposure to structured training in advanced research methods and academic writing often restrict their abilities to translate research ideas into high-quality publications. The proposed workshop aims to address these challenges by offering comprehensive and practical experiences.

This workshop will strengthen the research ecosystem among research scholars and faculty members of colleges and universities. The workshop will enhance the growing need of the faculty members in balancing teaching responsibilities and research productivity, while providing foundational and advanced exposure to researchers about research methodology and enabling them to conceptualise, design and execute research studies with greater clarity and confidence. In line with NEP 2020, Higher Education Institutions are expected not only to impart teaching but also to generate new knowledge through rigorous and ethical research.
