Pre-Ph.D. Admission Notice for Economics, Centre for Manipur Studies and Centre for the Study of Social Exclusion & Inclusive Policy 2019-2020


Pre-Ph.D. Admission Notice as issued by the Registrar i/c Manipur University, vide order No.MU/3-121/15/Aca/Ph.D. Dated 14th February, 2019.
In continuation of even letter dated, the 6th December 2018, an application in prescribe formats are invited from the eligible candidates for provisional admission to the Pre-Ph.d. programme for the session 2018-2019 for the following departments

  • Economics
  • Centre for Manipur Studies
  • Centre for the Study of Social Exclusion & Inclusive Policy


Eligibility
Candidates who have passed the PG examination in the concerned/allied subject with 55% marks or above /B Grade in the seven point scale or above (50% marks for SC/ST) and those who have appeared the qualifying examination and waiting for results are eligible to apply for provisional admission into Pre-Ph.D. Programme. The number of vacancies will be determined at the time of provisional registration. Only those candidates who successfully complete the Pre-Ph.D. course work with a minimum of B Grade in the 7-point scale will be eligible for registration to the Ph.D. programme. University Fellowships, where applicable, will be given with effect from the date of Ph.D. Registration.

Prescribed application form will be available in the Cash Counter on payment of Rs. 500/- for General and Rs. 300/- for SC/ST/PWD only in the cash upto 1:30 P.M. on all working days or by sending a Bank Draft of Rs. 500/- or Rs. 300/0 only drawn in favour of the Registrar, Manipur University, Imphal-795003 payable at the SBI, MU Campus Branch (Code No. 5320) along with a self addressed envelope of 28cmx15cm with postal stamp worth Rs.5.00/-. Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC/PWD shall be made as per the norms of he Government of India.
