XXXII Manipur University Inter College Youth Festival 2018

Manipur University Cultural Committee, Manipur University have organised the 'XXXII Manipur Univerity Inter College Youth Festival 2018' with the theme "Change for a bright Future". The XXXII MUINYF 2018 was inaugurated on 28th November 2018 at Centenary Hall MU Campus Canchipur by renowned filmmaker Aribam Syam Sharma (Padmashree Awardee), Jarnail Singh (Administrator, MU), Prof Ch Yashawanta Singh (Dean of Students' Welfare MU) and Mayanglambam Dayaman Singh (president MUSU) as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

Dignitaries of the event hoisted the inaugural flag and released souvenir of the Inter College Youth Festival 2018. The three days long festival comprise with various events like music, Fine arts, Spot painting, theatre, quiz etc. Around 561 students from Twenty three colleges in different part of the state participated the 32nd Inter College Youth Festival 2018.

The youth festival was concluded on 30th November 2018. Former vice-chancellor of Manipur University, Prof. HNK Sarma also present at the closing ceremony of the youth festivale. Prof.HNK Sarma said that no university of the country could make it to the list of 250 best universities of the world. He also said that the university must welcome foreign students to increase the university ranking. He also added that the expenditure on education in the country is still less when compared with the developed countries.

During the closing function, former CS Jarnail Singh (Administrator of Manipur University) requested the students to give feedback regarding the festival so as to improve to organised the festival in the future. He encourage the students to work hard.
