The department has museum hall of 19 x 90 ft.
and a separate treatment room of the museum articles.
The museum has good collections of Ethnographic materials
such as hunting, fishing, war, agricultural implements,
fabrics and ornaments, musical instruments, potteries,
basketries, and precious collections of delicately
embroidered traditional attires of Royal families, etc.
and photographs in traditional dresses of ethnos of
the region.

sexes, foetal skull, skulls of macaques (male and female),

- Conference Hall: The department has an Air conditioned
Conference Hall with Godrej Encarta conference table fitted
with 31 Ahuja conference microphones and revolving chairs.
Seating capacity at present is 70.
- Seminar Hall: A separate seminar hall is also maintained
for regular weekly seminars of the students and scholars.
It is also fitted with public address sound system (Ahuj a).
- Computer Hub: Eight Desktops for the students with internet
facility and printing accessories (laser printers). UPS of 2KVA
of 1 Hr back up. A separate printing chamber with Hp (3 in one)
Inkjet and Laser colour printers ( Scanner, Fax and photocopy),
XEROX photocopier. Power generator (diesel silent mode) of 5 KVA.
- Library: It is named as "Dr L. Rajendra Singh Library" as a
mark of honour of his contribution to the introduction and
development of Anthropology in Manipur. The library stores
precious collections donated by Dr L. Rajendra himself such
as Ethnicity (Ed) by Nathan Glazer and Daniel P Moynihan,
Social Organization by Robert H.Lowie., Primitive Society
by Robert H. Lowie and Up From The Ape by E.A. Hooton, etc.
and about 100 books of Anthropology and some 800 field
reports of PG classes. Step has taken up to make available
of either hard or soft copy of PhD theses in the library.
In short, now the department is not behind fellow department
of other universities in the country in terms of infra structure.
